If intimacy feels painful after having a baby, you don't have to simply live with it.

Maybe you've been hoping it would get better with time. Maybe you've wondered if your body is still healing, if what you're feeling is "normal," or if you're the only one experiencing it. These are questions I hear from many women, and they deserve to be talked about.

Pain during intimacy after having a baby is more common than many people realize, but that doesn't mean it's something you have to live with. For many women, the pelvic floor muscles, scar tissue, or changes that occur during pregnancy and childbirth may be contributing to that discomfort.

Pelvic floor physical therapy helps address these underlying causes through education, hands-on treatment, and guided movement to improve comfort, mobility, and confidence over time. Healing looks different for everyone, but understanding what's happening is often the first step.

If this sounds familiar, I invite you to watch my free Painful Sex Postpartum webinar in the LMC Resource Center. You'll learn why these symptoms can happen, how pelvic floor therapy may help, and you'll receive free downloadable resources, including educational guides, home exercises, and a care and treatment guide to support your recovery.
